Wired - Douglas E. Richards

wired_cover-200x300Every now and then between books on my to-read list I take time to browse through the Amazon lending library and see if anything catches my fancy. Wired caught my eye since it was a best seller and I had heard some good things about it. When I read the summary I was intrigued so I decided to try it out.

Wired reminded me of a Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt adventure. It had some grand ideas, pretty much non-stop action, a horribly corny boss, and a romance.  That isn’t necessarily a horrible thing to say.  It kept my attention and gave me a nice change of pace from what I had been reading before. If you’re looking for a sci-fi themed adventure with “save the world” type consequences then you might enjoy the book. Just keep in mind that many of the sci-fi themes in the book are extremely cliche and ridiculously imagined.
