M42 - One year's progress!
Winter has returned, and with it, a chance to look back on the progress I made this year. M42 was one of my very first attempts at astrophotography!
This week I was able to capture 57 minutes of exposure with the telescope, thats a huge increase over January’s 34 seconds! I’m getting a lot better at setup/alignment, etc and the cool weather has significantly reduced the noise in the images. I’ll need to have a cooled camera for summer!
You might remember this shot from January:
Telescope: At72ed
Camera: Canon 70D
Mount: Celestron AVX
